Vincent John Velasquez (born June 7, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). ==Career== Velasquez was drafted by the Houston Astros in the second round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft out of Garey High School in Pomona, California.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Garey's Velasquez signs with Astros )〕 He made his professional debut for the Greeneville Astros. In eight games (six starts) he went 2–2 with a 3.07 earned run average (ERA) and 25 strikeouts in innings pitched. In innings, he was 4–1 with a 3.35 ERA and 51 strikeouts. He started the 2013 season for the Quad Cities River Bandits. During the season he was promoted to the Lancaster JetHawks. He finished 9–6 with a 3.54 ERA and 142 strikeouts over innings.
